Call For Abstracts General Information


ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS

The 35th International Herpesvirus Workshop accepted abstract submissions from Wednesday, January 27, 2010 through Friday, April 2, 2010, midnight Eastern time in the following topic areas:

  • Assembly and Egress
  • DNA Replication and Maturation
  • Gene Expression
  • Glycoproteins and Entry
  • Immunology
  • Interventions/Treatment and Prevention
  • Latency
  • Pathogenesis

The Organizing Committee will notify authors of acceptance and form of presentation by May 14, 2010.

ABSTRACT FORMATTING

The formatting of abstracts for the abstract book including fonts, font sizes, underlining, bolding etc. will be done electronically by the Workshop managers.

All abstract titles will be printed in Arial 13 pt font. Titles will be in sentence case with only the first word capitalized. Authors and institutions will be printed in Arial 10 pt Italic font. Authors' names will appear in the order they were entered in the submission site with the primary author underlined. Abstract content will be printed in Times New Roman 10 pt font. In order to fit into the space allotted, the body of each abstract is limited to 300 words or 2500 characters including spaces and punctuation. These numbers are the maximum number of characters the online submission will accept for an abstract. If you exceed the 300 words, or 2500 characters, the submission will only reflect the first 300 words or 2500 characters. Verify your submission is complete prior to finalizing the submission.

ACCEPTANCE OF ABSTRACTS

Compliance with all stated conditions including adherence to the deadline is required.

Acknowledgement of receipt of completed abstracts will be sent via email upon submission.

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to decide whether a submission will be accepted, and the right to determine the presentation form. If your abstract is NOT accepted for either a poster or an oral presentation, you will be refunded your Workshop registration fee in full. If your abstract is accepted for presentation, poster or oral, the standard cancellation policy applies.

The Organizing Committee will notify authors of acceptance and form of presentation by May 14, 2010.
