Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 46th International Herpesvirus Workshop, which will be held from 25 - 29 July 2022. This virtual IHW will showcase the same high-quality science and provide students, fellows and PIs the opportunity to present their work to the greater IHW audience expected from an in-person workshop. Our goal is to make the return of the IHW a meeting to remember and to be a catalyst to reinvigorate the workshop and continue to provide a forum for the IHW community to gather. 

The meeting will take place from Monday to Friday and bring to the audience a variety of cutting-edge presentations, along with multiple breakout sessions and the more familiar poster sessions and one on one chats and live discussions; all taking place from the comfort of your home or office. We are hoping for a robust meeting that allows the exchange of new ideas and the vibrant and collegial discussions that the IHW has been known for over these many years. We are encouraging all to attend and hope to bring an emphasis on recruiting new researchers and trainees to the workshop. 

Given that the virtual IHW has a much lower registration fee and there are no travel or lodging costs, we hope this encourages labs to register as many trainees as they can to attend the meeting. We will also have some registration awards for trainees available.
