Welcome!
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
Willkommen zum IHW in Berlin!
We cordially invite you to attend the 49th incarnation of the International Herpesvirus Workshop that will be held in Berlin, Germany, from July 26-30th, 2025. If you are working on a herpesvirus that infects any living organism, come to the meeting and share your data with our community and a friendly group of colleagues!
We will be finally back to Europe after the Ghent 2017 meeting (and the Corona pandemic), and come together in the vibrant and historic city of Berlin. Since the tumbling of the Berlin Wall in 1989 (yes, more than 35 years ago!), the city has become a symbol of unification and cultural diversity. We therefore hope to welcome you from all over the world to take advantage of both the scientific program and the opportunity to explore one of Europe’s most beautiful cities (incl. world-class museums, iconic landmarks and its vibrant food scene). As in previous years, we will have sessions that focus on the molecular mechanisms of the viruses’ life cycles, on pathogenesis, immunity, latency and reactivation, oncogenesis, prevention and therapy, genomics and epigenetics. Rest assured that we and the Scientific Advisory Board will create a welcoming and supportive environment to present and discuss your data in a great atmosphere.
Please come back to this website on a regular basis and forward the link to anybody who is interested and may be willing to attend. We will provide updates on the website regularly. Abstract Submission and Registration will be open at the beginning of 2025.
Again, we hope that you will attend the 49th International Herpesvirus Workshop 2025 in Berlin. We promise to do our best to make this a memorable scientific event and personal experience. We are confident that Berlin with its international flair, its many cultural sites and events as well as its culinary opportunities will come to our aid in this endeavor.
See you in Berlin shortly!
